Important Notice for Independent Health Members
At this time, the Endoscopy Center of Orchard Park is considered out of network with Independent Health. While patients may continue to schedule and attend office visits at our Orchard Park clinic location, endoscopic procedures for Independent Health members must currently be performed at the Endoscopy Center of Williamsville.
We understand this may be inconvenient and are actively working toward a resolution. If you are an Independent Health member and would like to express your concerns regarding access to care at the Endoscopy Center of Orchard Park, we encourage you to contact Independent Health directly. Welcome to the Endoscopy Center of Western New York, LLC (ECWNY), where we are committed to the prevention of colon cancer and treatment of diseases of the GI tract. Our center has received deemed status accreditation through the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC) and has been designated as a Center of Excellence through the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE).
The physicians at ECWNY maintain a high level of excellence and choose to participate in the GI Quality Improvement Consortium (GIQuIC). GIQuIC allows us to monitor quality indicators and to improve patient outcomes.
The Endoscopy Center of WNY is following the guidelines set forth by the CDC and the NYS Department of Health to keep you safe while you are at our facility. We encourage all individuals to help prevent the spread of infection.
Please review the patient forms below before your procedure and confirm with your insurance carrier that the center participates with your insurance.
While several organizations have recommended that colon cancer screening begin at age 45 for patients at average risk, not all insurance carriers have adopted this change. Please contact your insurance carrier to review your coverage for colon cancer screening.
Procedure Day Reminders
- STOP drinking FOUR hours before your procedure. If you are allowed to drink the day of your procedure, drink CLEAR liquids only (anything you can see through)
- Leave valuables and jewelry at home
- Wear comfortable clothing
- Avoid alcohol and recreational drugs the day of your procedure
- Bring the completed Medical Information Sheet, insurance card, ambulatory surgery center co-pay, and photo ID with you on the day of your procedure
- You will need a responsible driver to take you home following your procedure Public transportation (taxi, Uber, etc) is not allowed
- Patient drivers are not required to stay at the center and if you choose to have your driver accompany you at the center, we ask that only one person per patient remain at the center during your procedure
Unless otherwise authorized by Law, pursuant to the State Code, no person shall knowingly possess, have under the person's control, convey, or attempt to convey a deadly weapon or dangerous ordinance onto these premises.
